I love a genre mashup that also defies the requirements of book length (as much as it can in the publishing world lol). The Sharing Knife book(s) are best read as one single book, because they... sort of are, imho. And it's a damn good book!
I read Legacy and Beguilement on audiobook while driving the length of California in a snowstorm, and Bujold made that experience much less miserable than it could have been.
