THE CORPSE EXHIBITION is gruesome and macabre, darkly humorous with a humor that is like 98% grief and cruel absurdity, and it honestly gave me more than one nightmare as I read my way through it. The fantastical and the realistically horrific combine into a surrealism that reminded me a LOT of modern Mexican literary fiction--perhaps there are some similarities between the wars on drugs and on terror that shape literary convention.
My verdict: George W. Bush should be implanted with a radio receiver that continuously loops this audiobook into his ears from now until he dies.
